About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage deployment/infrastructure automation tools.
Build and support rapid deployment, monitoring, and operations processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across dev, test, and production environments.
Optimize distributed systems, OS, networks, and applications.
Implement strategies for system optimization, rapid feedback, and high availability.
Define tool development requirements; provide scalable technical solutions.
Design low-latency, high-performance, highly available applications.
Participate in code reviews and offer recommendations.
Deliver projects on time in a modified Scrum environment.
Bridge development and operations for successful project delivery.
Build robust backend frameworks and automation tools.
Provide operational support and documentation.
Competencies
Expertise in designing, deploying and managing secure, scalable AWS cloud platform using core services and automation framework (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, EDS/EKS, Lambda, CloudFormation, Terraform, API Gateway and CloudFront)
Robust in IAM principles, least privilege models, KMS encryption, secret management and secure network segmentation.
Strong DevOps expertise: CI/CD, test automation, Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet accros AWS and VMWare platforms).
Proficient with Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat), Windows, Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
Experience with monitoring (CloudWatch, Azure Monitoring, ELK/OpenSearch), source control and workflow automation (Git/GitHub, GitOps, ArgoCD, Flux), and policy-as-code (OPA, AWS SCPs)
Security awareness, OS hardening, and system instrumentation for observability.
Effective collaboration across development, security, QA, and project managers to improve delivery and governance.
Skilled with AWS Control Tower, Organizations, Landing Zone setups, cost optimizations and FinOps
Works effectively in Agile/Scrum framework while adhering to ITIL standards for change, incident and release management.
Promotes documentation, knowledge sharing, and cross-functional enablement to drive operational excellence and accelerate delivery.
Up to 10% travel on an as needed basis
Education And Experience
Degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent experience.
10+ years relevant experience; at least 3+ years hands-on with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and scripting/programing (Shell, Python, Ansible ).
Proven VMware, AWS, cloud/SaaS, networking (load balancing, DHCP, DNS, routing) background.
5+ years with Linux/Windows systems and distributed systems.
Experienced in securing, managing and monitoring Kubernetes clusters.
Solid understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure components.
Experience supporting 24x7 operational environments, including participation in on-call.
Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps. The pay ranges are reviewed from time to time and may be modified in the future. Some roles may be eligible for discretionary bonuses or additional incentives. The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $154,149.00 (min) - 175,681.00 (max) per year. The pay offered is based on factors like relevant experience, education, qualifications, certifications, skills, location, performance, internal equity, union contract (if applicable), work schedule, travel, and business needs. In addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits. If this role is eligible for benefits, the benefits would include medical, prescription drug, vision, and dental plans; 401(k) plan; paid parental leave; paid time off; and paid holidays (for roles not covered under a collective bargaining agreement).
