**Job Title:** Lead UX Designer
**Role Summary:**
Lead end‑to‑end user experience design for large‑scale, enterprise‑grade applications within a global financial services compliance transformation programme. Own discovery, research, wireframing, prototyping, and design documentation while collaborating with product, engineering, and compliance stakeholders to deliver functional, intuitive, future‑ready solutions.
**Expactations:**
* Deliver comprehensive UX solutions on a 6‑month contract (up to £590 k, IR35).
* Influence senior stakeholders and champion user‑centric design within the organization.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and context analysis to define problem statements and opportunities.
2. Translate research insights into personas, user journeys, information architectures, and functional specifications.
3. Produce high‑fidelity wireframes, interactive prototypes, and visual designs in Figma, ensuring alignment with brand and accessibility guidelines.
4. Coordinate with engineering, product, and compliance teams to validate feasibility, iterate designs, and ensure smooth hand‑off.
5. Present design concepts and findings to senior leadership, articulating trade‑offs, ROI, and user impact.
6. Mentor junior designers, review deliverables, and uphold design standards across the product suite.
**Required Skills:**
* 10+ years of UX/interaction design experience on complex, large‑scale applications.
* Proven leadership of UX projects in banking or financial services.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design in enterprise environments.
* Advanced proficiency in Figma; working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS.
* Familiarity with AI‑powered applications, workflow automation, or data visualisation is a plus.
* Excellent verbal and written communication; adept at influencing and presenting to senior stakeholders.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field.
* Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Nielsen Norman Group, UXPA, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
