DevOps Engineer – Observability & Reliability

Location: Newcastle - 5 days on site

Salary: £50,000 – £100,000 base

The Opportunity

Ensure complex, distributed systems run reliably at scale. You’ll join a fast-growing, elite engineering team where operational challenges are solved with engineering-grade solutions.

What You’ll Do

Build CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows
Design observability, monitoring, and alerting that engineers trust under pressure
Automate infrastructure and operational tasks
Collaborate with engineers to improve system architecture and reliability

What We Expect

Degree from a Russell Group university or equivalent
5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or cloud engineering roles
Strong practical experience with ELK Stack, Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, etc.
Deep understanding of distributed systems, fault tolerance, and cloud architecture
Engineering mindset — you write code to solve operational problems

Package

£50,000 – £100,000 base salary
Performance bonus -10 - 20%
