**Job Title:** Director, Game Operations & Fan Experience
**Role Summary:** Lead game operations and fan experience for all pre-season, regular season, and post-season events at a major venue, managing cross-functional teams, hospitality, and fan engagement initiatives.
**Expectations:** Oversee game day operations, hospitality logistics, event planning, fan activation strategies, and interdepartmental collaboration to ensure seamless event execution and optimal fan experience.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage credentials, parking, VIP client interactions, game day production notes, and coordination with vendors, departments, and arenas.
- Oversee hospitality logistics, including wristbands, parking, F&B requirements, and pop-up space load-in/strike.
- Plan and execute fan events (e.g., Lakers Live, fan activations, themed nights), including budgeting, sponsor coordination, and on-site event support.
- Coordinate with marketing and departments for giveaways, manage inventory, and fulfill special requests.
- Plan/execute special events (retirement ceremonies, parades) and maintain entertainment elements (e.g., Laker Lights, streamer cannons).
- Monitor fan feedback, adjust fan experience strategies, and align with analytics for continuous improvement.
- Supervise Game Operations Coordinator, provide feedback, and ensure alignment with priorities and timelines.
**Required Skills:** Leadership, event coordination, cross-departmental collaboration, budget management, problem-solving, communication, fan feedback analysis, and vendor management.
**Required Education & Certifications:** Bachelor’s degree in business administration, event management, or related field. Prior experience in sports/event operations, fan experience strategy, and team management preferred.
