Job Description
**Job title:** Senior Privacy Manager and Deputy Data Protection Officer **Role Summary:** Lead the global privacy program, acting as deputy to the Head of Privacy/DPO. Shape data protection strategy, ensure compliance with GDPR, DPA, PECR and other regimes, and embed a privacy‑first culture across a multinational organization. Combine strategic oversight with hands‑on delivery, managing risk, governance, investigations, and stakeholder engagement. **Expectations:** - Operate as trusted advisor and deputy to the Global Head of Privacy/DPO. - Drive continuous improvement of the privacy framework and policy implementation. - Provide risk‑based guidance on marketing and PECR compliance. - Lead breach investigations, regulatory reporting, and data subject request handling. - Deliver training and coaching to embed privacy best practices. - Maintain relationships with supervisory authorities and internal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deputise for the Global Head of Privacy/DPO as needed. - Develop, implement, and monitor global privacy policies, standards, and guidance. - Advise on GDPR, DPA, PECR, and international data protection laws. - Manage DSARs, erasure requests, and act as primary point of contact for data subjects. - Oversee data breach investigations, ensure timely regulatory reporting. - Review contractual clauses, SCCs, and conduct privacy risk assessments. - Deliver privacy training and coach staff on best practices. - Support high‑risk and commercial matters requiring privacy expertise. - Foster a privacy‑aware culture throughout the organization. **Required Skills:** - Deep knowledge of GDPR, DPA, PECR and international data protection regimes. - Proven senior privacy experience (Senior Privacy Manager, Deputy DPO, or equivalent). - Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing ability at executive level. - Excellent communication, organizational and project‑management skills. - Experience driving privacy frameworks and cultural change. - Ability to conduct risk assessments and manage data‑subject requests. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in law, information technology, data protection, or related field. - Professional privacy qualification preferred (CIPP/E, CIPM, ISEB, or equivalent).
