Job Title: Senior Data & AI Governance Consultant
Role Summary: Provide expert consultancy on data governance frameworks and AI assurance, designing policies, controls, and metadata management solutions that ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and effective data/AI asset stewardship across client organizations.
Expectations: Deliver end‑to‑end governance solutions, lead and mentor engagement teams, maintain industry knowledge and technical proficiency, travel to client sites as needed, and uphold all required security clearances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive data governance assessments, identifying gaps and recommending best‑practice solutions.
- Design and implement governance policies, standards, and controls for both data and AI assets.
- Lead AI assurance engagements: model risk assessment, bias detection, explainability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain a metadata management strategy, including cataloguing, lineage mapping, and data quality controls.
- Produce governance documentation, audit trails, and reporting artifacts for stakeholders and compliance bodies.
- Deliver workshops, training sessions, and executive briefings on governance topics.
- Collaborate with technology teams on tool selection, implementation, and integration of governance platforms.
- Manage client relationships, drive project delivery, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in Data Governance, AI Assurance, and Metadata Management.
- Strong understanding of data quality, security, privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Experience with governance frameworks (CMMI, ISO/IEC 38500, NIST).
- Proficiency in cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation).
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated project management and change‑management competence.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, or related discipline.
- Professional certifications such as CDMP, DAMA‑DI, CISM, CISA, or AI model‑risk specific credentials are highly desirable.
- Security clearance (e.g., SC Clearance) or equivalent required.
