The Environmental Career Center has helped talented professionals and leading employers connect since 1980. We believe that our contribution to the environment is best demonstrated by the quality of candidates that are hired by our partner clients -- employers of environmental, natural resources, renewable energy, and sustainability professionals. We help candidates and employers through targeted recruitment on the first (since 1995) comprehensive environmental niche job board, EnvironmentalCareer.com. We lead by conducting national environmental employment market surveys. The Environmental Career Center has been conducting career seminars and webinars since 1995. We have published the National Environmental Employment Report and later the Green Careers Journal magazine. We also provide on-site contract staffing services and a managed environmental intern program to help employers bring on board excellent staff quickly and more easily. We enjoy helping people work for a better environment.

Job title: Data Analyst Role Summary: Transforms raw and complex data into actionable insights to support strategic and operational decisions. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams, builds visualizations, and ensures data accuracy and consistency across sources. Expactations: - Deliver timely, accurate analyses and clear visual reports. - Maintain data integrity and quality standards. - Proactively identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities. - Communicate findings effectively to non‑technical stakeholders. - Stay current with data analysis tools and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Collect, clean, and validate data from internal and external sources. - Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance metrics. - Conduct ad‑hoc analyses to answer specific business questions. - Work with IT and business teams to enhance data collection processes. - Translate complex data findings into concise, business‑focused insights. - Monitor data quality and ensure consistency across datasets. Required Skills: - Strong SQL proficiency for querying and data manipulation. - Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). - Knowledge of statistical analysis; familiarity with Python or R is a plus. - Excellent problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities. - Effective written and verbal communication; ability to present data to non‑technical audiences. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a comparable analytical role. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Tableau Desktop Specialist) are advantageous but not mandatory.
