Job Description
**Job Title:** Director, Security Operations and Surveillance **Role Summary:** Lead the daily operations of a large, industry‑leading Security Operations Center (SOC) and Surveillance Department. Oversee investigative, monitoring, and CCTV teams to protect facilities, personnel, and assets. Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, training, and compliance with federal, state, and gaming regulations. **Expectations:** - Manage and mentor a diverse security team, ensuring adherence to schedules, performance standards, and regulatory requirements. - Maintain continuous coverage and rapid response to incidents, including investigations of fraud, theft, and regulatory violations. - Implement and improve security technologies, incident reporting systems, and access‑control processes. - Foster positive labor relations and support recruitment, onboarding, and training. - Produce regular reporting and maintain compliance with legal and gaming authority standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Deploy and operate the primary SOC at the main facility, integrating all property security monitoring. - Supervise, evaluate, and schedule surveillance personnel; adjust staffing for holidays, weather, and call‑out trends. - Monitor property via CCTV, access control, and monetary transaction systems (cash machines, gaming vouchers, payouts). - Detect and investigate cheating, money‑laundering, theft, and embezzlement. - Conduct routine random surveillance audits and support incident resolution. - Develop, update, and enforce security policies, SOPs, and incident‑reporting protocols. - Deliver ongoing training on surveillance techniques, emerging threats, and compliance. - Liaise with labor representatives, law enforcement, and regulatory agencies. - Perform monthly walk‑through inspections of all facilities and building systems. - Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual security performance reports. **Required Skills:** - Leadership and team management with experience supervising security and investigative staff. - Knowledge of SOC operations, surveillance technology, and incident‑management software. - Strong analytical and investigative skills (fraud detection, compliance review). - Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder‑management abilities. - Proficiency in scheduling, performance metrics, and workforce optimization. - Ability to enforce policies, handle disciplinary actions, and maintain high ethical standards. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field (minimum). - Minimum of 5‑10 years in progressive security leadership roles. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or equivalent) preferred. ---
