Job Description
Job Title: Help Desk Intern Role Summary: Internship role providing first‑line IT support in a professional office environment. Responsibilities include responding to user help tickets, troubleshooting and resolving issues, configuring and installing hardware and software, and maintaining system integrity under guidance from senior IT staff. Expectations: - Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a closely related discipline. - Demonstrated interest in IT support, troubleshooting, and system administration. Key Responsibilities: - Respond to end‑user IT assistance requests and document incidents in the ticketing system. - Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT team members as appropriate. - Configure, install, and upgrade PC hardware, operating systems, and application software. - Provide hands‑on support for IT equipment across multiple office locations. - Assist with installation and maintenance of Windows OS applications, Office 365, and other business applications. - Perform routine maintenance tasks and support additional duties assigned by the IT Helpdesk Manager or IT Director. Required Skills: - Strong written and verbal communication abilities. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams). - Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Windows Server and workstation environments. - Ability to install and configure Windows operating systems and associated business applications. - Team‑player mindset with a willingness to collaborate across functions. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - No mandatory certifications required, though familiarity with ITIL or relevant Microsoft certifications is a plus.
