Job Description
**Job Title:** Head of Relationship Marketing and Commercial Development (Interim) **Role Summary:** Senior leader responsible for driving member community engagement and retention across ~120 destination marketing organisations, while generating and growing revenue through membership expansion and commercial partnerships. Provides governance oversight, team leadership, and strategic alignment with EU collaboration projects. **Expectations:** - Translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and deliverables. - Maintain high governance standards and accurate decision tracking. - Lead and develop the head‑office team, ensuring quality output and removal of blockers. - Foster strong relationships with senior stakeholders, members, and commercial partners. - Support EU consortium activities and represent the organisation in relevant forums. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute member‑community strategies to boost retention, engagement, and alliance growth. - Drive commercial development: manage pipeline, proposals, renewals, and partner servicing. - Prepare and facilitate Board, Executive Committee, and General Assembly governance cycles. - Oversee production of knowledge‑sharing content (insights, toolkits, synthesis notes). - Manage commercial partner relationships and contribute to partnership acquisition and renewal. - Provide senior guidance on communications and marketing alignment with organisational strategy. - Coordinate EU project involvement (e.g., DEPLOYTOUR, BEFuture) including representation, follow‑up, and deliverable management. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience in alliances, networks, or association management with complex stakeholder ecosystems. - Demonstrated track record in commercial development (membership growth, partnerships, sponsorships). - Strong governance discipline and judgment when interacting with senior executives. - Excellent written communication, synthesis, and structured execution abilities. - Leadership and team‑management skills, including coaching and workload prioritisation. - Ability to travel extensively across Europe and work in a hybrid environment. - EU project/consortia experience (preferred). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Relations, or related field (Master’s preferred). - Relevant certifications in project management, stakeholder management, or commercial development are advantageous.
