**Job Title:** Business Development Manager – Western Ontario **Role Summary:** Drive new B2B revenue growth for Sheridan Electric in the Greater Waterloo and surrounding regions by prospecting, winning, and expanding relationships with new and dormant customers across target industrial sectors. Act as the primary “hunter,” manage the full sales cycle, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery and ongoing client partnership. **Expectations:** - Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and pipeline metrics. - Proactively build and maintain a qualified prospect list using CRM data and market research. - Demonstrate disciplined use of Salesforce for activity tracking and pipeline visibility. - Maintain high‑level professionalism, safety focus, and customer‑service orientation. - Adapt quickly to shifting priorities and take ownership of commitments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify and qualify target accounts in automotive, plastics, food & beverage, equipment manufacturing, and related industries. - Research and engage decision‑makers; secure meetings and conduct in‑person/virtual presentations. - Reactivate dormant accounts and convert initial wins into long‑term partnerships. - Develop and execute account plans; maintain regular client touchpoints. - Collaborate with sales leadership, Inside Sales, Project Managers, and operations for smooth hand‑off and project execution. - Attend industry events, trade shows, and client site visits to expand network and pipeline. - Update Salesforce daily with activities, opportunity stages, and next steps; provide pipeline health reports to management. **Required Skills:** - Proven B2B new‑business generation and closing experience (5+ years). - Strong consultative negotiation and relationship‑building abilities. - Ability to research accounts, identify key stakeholders, and craft tailored outreach. - Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce; disciplined pipeline management. - Entrepreneurial mindset with focus on measurable results and accountability. - Excellent communication, presentation, and networking skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. - Preferred: Post‑secondary education in business, engineering, electrical trades, automation, or related field. - No specific certifications required; sales‑related training or certifications are a plus.
