Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer
Job Description: Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer Role Summary: Provide routine maintenance, reactive servicing, fault diagnosis, and small installations for fire detection, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems on commercial, residential, and industrial sites. Ensure compliance, efficient work, and client satisfaction. Expectations: Deliver high‑quality service, adhere to British Standards and manufacturer guidelines, maintain accurate job documentation, communicate updates to customers, and participate in on‑call and emergency response as required. Key Responsibilities: • Service and maintain fire detection, intruder alarms, CCTV, access control systems, and related technology. • Diagnose and repair faults on‑site efficiently. • Conduct planned preventive maintenance (PPM). • Complete accurate job sheets and reports. • Liaise with customers to provide updates and ensure satisfaction. • Participate in on‑call rota and emergency response support. Required Skills: • Proven experience servicing a range of fire and security systems. • Familiarity with leading manufacturers’ products for intruder and fire systems. • Strong fault‑finding abilities and attention to detail. • Knowledge of relevant British Standards and industry best practices. • Full UK driving licence. • Ability to work independently and in teams, manage time effectively. Required Education & Certifications: • Level 3 BS5839‑1 (or equivalent) and manufacturer training certifications preferred. • ECS/CSCS card preferred.
