Job Description
Job Title: Parts Picker Role Summary: Locate, select, and prepare parts for shipment or production use over a 3-month contract. Follow picking lists, maintain accuracy, and work efficiently to meet deadlines, reporting to the Production Supervisor. Expectations: • Deliver accurate parts selection and packaging within assigned timelines. • Execute health & safety, company policies, and warehouse SOPs. • Maintain 100 % accuracy on picking lists and output inspections. • Submit defect and issue reports promptly. Key Responsibilities: - Pick and pack parts for machines, aftermarket, or transfers per SOP. - Stage and sort products for loading (FIFO). - Move materials within warehouse, operating forklifts and overhead cranes as trained. - Package finished products (shrink wrap, boxing, labeling). - Inspect output for quality and report issues or defective parts. - Follow H&S regulations, company rules, and procedures. - Collaborate with colleagues and perform ad‑hoc duties from lead hand and supervisor. Required Skills: - Prior experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or order picking. - Ability to read and interpret order sheets and picking lists. - Familiarity with warehouse equipment (forklift, overhead crane). - Ability to operate forklift and overhead crane (training provided). - Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and manual dexterity. - Good organizational and time‑management skills. - Capability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Basic computer skills for order processing. - Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with lifting device assistance). Required Education & Certifications: - High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). - Forklift operator certification (or willingness to train).
