Job Description
**Job Title** General Manager – CDMO **Role Summary** Lead a cGMP‑regulated pharmaceutical CDMO site with ~200 staff. Drive operational excellence, culture change, and commercial performance. Own P&L, manage site operations from upstream to downstream, and report to the parent company’s CEO. **Expectations** - Deliver profitable growth and operational KPIs. - Champion continuous improvement and high‑performing teams. - Strengthen client relationships across a diverse portfolio. - Lead organizational change to align culture with commercial goals. - Communicate effectively in English and Dutch (conversational). **Key Responsibilities** - Overall site P&L ownership and financial management. - Oversee full lifecycle operations: manufacturing, quality, regulatory, supply chain, and maintenance. - Implement and maintain cGMP compliance, risk management, and audit readiness. - Drive process optimization, capacity utilization, and cost control. - Develop and execute strategic plans, including new client acquisition and portfolio expansion. - Foster safety, quality, and employee engagement culture. - Report performance, risks, and opportunities to the CEO and board. - Build and lead cross‑functional leadership team. - Ensure Dutch‑speaking communication with local staff and partners. **Required Skills** - Proven leadership in a cGMP pharmaceutical environment. - Strong financial acumen and P&L management. - Experience in a CMO or CDMO, managing diverse client portfolios. - Excellent stakeholder engagement and influence skills. - Fluency in English; conversational Dutch required. - Strategic mindset with operational execution capability. - Change‑management expertise and culture‑building abilities. - Problem‑solving, analytical, and decisive decision‑making skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s (or higher) in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent. - Master’s preferred for strategic and financial roles. - GMP, ICH, FDA/EMA regulatory knowledge. - Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or similar operational excellence (advantage).
