Job Description
**Job title** Systems & Network Administrator – RUN / MCO & SecOps (F/M) **Role Summary** Operate and maintain a multi‑client managed services ecosystem, ensuring continuous availability, reliability, and security of servers, network equipment, and services. Execute daily operations, incident response, patch management, and compliance audits while improving runbooks, documentation, and automation. **Expactations** - Minimum 3 years of experience in systems and network administration, preferably in an MSP or managed services environment. - Strong methodological and proactive mindset; focus on prevention over remediation. - Excellent diagnostic, documentation, prioritisation and communication skills. - Self‑sufficient in daily RUN tasks without constant escalation. **Key Responsibilities** - **RUN / MCO** – supervise servers, network gear, and services; triage alerts, prioritise, diagnose, resolve, and document post‑actions. - Maintain system health, capacity, availability, and continuity; update runbooks and procedures. - **Security Operations** – manage security consoles (EDR/AV, firewalls); analyse alerts, contain first‑level incidents, remediate, and eskalate when needed. - Apply security hardening, MFA, least‑privilege, and baseline compliance. - Reduce alert noise through tuning of monitoring, EDR rules, thresholds, and exclusions. - **Patching & Compliance** – schedule, validate, and report OS, server, and network equipment updates via centralised tools. - Perform regular infrastructure audits using checklists; drive remediation to achieve compliance. - Contribute to industrialisation and optimisation of the managed services framework. **Required Skills** - **Operating Systems** – Windows Server/AD (GPO, DNS/DHCP), basic Linux. - **Cloud & Identity** – M365, Entra ID, Intune (IAM fundamentals, MFA). - **Security** – EDR/AV, log/event triage, firewall rule management, VPN, and baseline configuration. - **Networking** – VLANs, basic routing, enterprise Wi‑Fi (as applicable), VPN. - **Backup & DR** – backup operation, restoration testing, PRA/PCA monitoring. - **Scripting & Automation** – PowerShell, Bash (automation, runbook enhancement). - **Tools** – supervision/RMM, patch management, ticketing, monitoring platforms. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent professional experience. - Certifications preferred: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals, MCSA/MCSE, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, or equivalent. ---
