Job Description
**Job Title:** Simulator Development Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and operate high‑performance vehicle simulators within the Performance Science team to support motorsport performance development. Lead simulator programme delivery, integrate simulation tools with engineering workflows, and collaborate with drivers, race engineers, and modelling teams to close the correlation gap and meet performance targets. **Expactations:** - Deliver and manage simulator programmes across multiple projects. - Contribute to the evolution of in‑house simulator capabilities and road‑maps. - Maintain efficient end‑to‑end processes to maximise development value. - Communicate technical results clearly to internal stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Operate and maintain real‑time simulator hardware and software. - Design and implement simulator workflows and integration with performance engineering systems. - Collaborate with drivers, race engineering, and modelling teams to align simulator outputs with on‑track performance goals. - Optimize simulator operational processes for speed and reliability. - Apply data‑visualisation and front‑end development to present simulation results. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in Matlab/Simulink, Python, and C/C++. - Experience with DIL simulators, real‑time operating systems, motion‑cueing, force‑feedback hardware, and advanced vehicle models. - Familiarity with professional motorsport simulator platforms (e.g., Concurrent, dSpace, Speedgoat). - Knowledge of simulation correlation methods and data‑visualisation tools. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and technical communication abilities. - Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. - Demonstrated passion for high‑performance engineering, mobility technology, and motorsport. - Full professional proficiency in English.
