The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Simulator Development Engineer to join our growing Simulator team within the Performance Science group. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the development and operation of our simulators and associated performance development programmes. This role involves a range of real-time operating system, modelling and simulation and analytics and correlation skills, in a high-performance motorsport context.

Role Responsibilities

You will work within our Performance Science team to help maximise value from our simulator development programmes
You will be responsible for simulator operations and the design and successful delivery of simulator programmes across a range of projects
Developing simulator systems and workflows, including integration within our overall performance engineering system
Close collaboration with drivers, race engineering, simulation and modelling teams to minimise the correlation gap and align simulator activities to performance targets
Improve the end‑to‑end operational process of our simulator programmes to maximise efficiency and delivered development value

Skills, Qualifications & Experience Required

Contribution to the continual development roadmap of our in‑house simulator capability
Degree in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field
Passion for high‑performance engineering, mobility technology, and motorsport
Experience and familiarity with advanced simulation and modelling, ideally within a motorsport context
Passion for a simulation‑first performance development philosophy
Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink, Python, C/C++
Proficiency in DIL simulators and real‑time operating systems, motion cueing and force‑feedback hardware, advanced vehicle models and control systems, and simulation correlation methods
Experience or familiarity with professional motorsport simulator environments such as Concurrent, dSpace, Speedgoat
Experience or familiarity with data‑visualisation tools and modern front‑end development methodologies
Driven, proactive, results‑oriented, and highly attentive to detail
Open‑minded team player, able to maintain focus and rationale in a high‑pressure environment
Excellent technical communication skills
Full professional proficiency in English
