**Job Title**
Robotics Engineer Intern
**Role Summary**
Engage in end‑to‑end robotics deployment, including building and testing physical robot scenarios, supporting teleoperation and data pipelines, and contributing to VLA model training. Operate onsite with robot arms, grippers, mobile bases, and sensor suites, while debugging perception, calibration, and control issues in real‑world environments.
**Expectations**
- 3–6 month internship, full‑time or part‑time, U.S. work authorization required.
- Rapid iteration cycles, hands‑on work with physical robots, direct interaction with research and deployment leads.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, assemble, and test robot deployment scenarios in realistic or customer‑like settings.
- Develop and maintain teleoperation (TeleOps) systems for robot control and data capture.
- Collect, annotate, and validate robotics datasets; ensure data quality for training.
- Collaborate with research team on VLA, imitation learning, and reinforcement‑learning workflows.
- Integrate and operate robot hardware (arms, grippers, mobile bases, sensors).
- Diagnose and resolve deployment issues involving perception, calibration, latency, and control.
- Execute experiments and internal demos to gauge deployment readiness.
**Required Skills**
- Solid foundation in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Hands‑on experience with robot manipulation or mobile platforms, teleoperation systems, robotics data collection, or VLA/learning models.
- Proficiency in Python and/or C++; familiarity with ROS/ROS 2.
- Strong problem‑solving aptitude; ability to thrive in a fast‑paced startup environment.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Robotics, CS, EE, ME, or comparable discipline. (No specific certifications required.)
**Other Qualifications (Nice to Have)**
- Prior real‑world robot deployment experience (simulation only not required).
- Knowledge of RGB‑D sensors, point clouds, or SLAM.
- Experience with simulation frameworks such as Isaac Sim, MuJoCo, or PyBullet.
- Active publications, open‑source contributions, or substantial robotics project portfolio.
- Interest in bridging research and production systems.
