**Job title**
Fire and Security Engineer
**Role Summary**
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire and security systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, emergency lighting, voice alarms, public address systems, nurse call systems, and disabled refuge systems. Provide on‑site technical support, perform system testing, and collaborate with clients to ensure safety compliance and optimal system performance.
**Expectations**
- Full‑time, on‑site engineer with willingness to travel to project locations.
- Stay current with industry standards, safety regulations, and emerging security technologies.
- Deliver high‑quality work within project timelines and maintain documentation of installations, tests, and maintenance.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Install, commission, and maintain fire and security systems according to technical drawings and specifications.
2. Conduct routine system checks, functional testing, and performance verification.
3. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, working independently or in a team.
4. Prepare and present reports on system status, testing results, and maintenance activities.
5. Liaise with clients and project teams, providing professional advice and technical support.
6. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, codes, and best practices.
7. Travel to client sites as required for installation, commissioning, or troubleshooting tasks.
**Required Skills**
- Comprehensive knowledge of fire and security system components and installation procedures.

**Required Education & Certifications**
- Relevant qualifications in fire protection engineering, electrical engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications in fire and security engineering (e.g., BFE, NFPA 70E, or equivalent).
- Certifications in network security (e.g., CompTIA Security+) or cybersecurity are advantageous.
