**Job Title:** Cloud Engineer – Consultant / Senior Consultant (Digital Excellence)
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure for high‑profile transformation projects. Build and automate CI/CD pipelines, implement monitoring/alerting, troubleshoot production issues, enforce security & compliance, and optimize cost and performance. Work collaboratively with architects, developers, and clients in agile multidisciplinary teams.
**Expectations:**
- Hold or be eligible for active Security Clearance (SC level).
- Deliver secure, scalable, and compliant cloud solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Demonstrate proven DevOps expertise and a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
- Mentor junior engineers, contribute to practice growth, and support business development activities (proposals, pitches, internal projects).
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provision, configure, and manage cloud resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Deploy and run containerised microservices (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting (Dynatrace, Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus).
- Conduct security, performance, and availability testing (Selenium, Cucumber).
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents; provide post‑mortem reports.
- Collaborate with architects to define cloud architecture and best‑practice standards.
- Mentor teammates, share knowledge, and drive a DevOps culture.
- Participate in business‑development activities (RFPs, proposals, client pitches).
**Required Skills:**
- Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- DevOps tooling: GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
- Containerisation & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- IaC & configuration management: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Packer.
- Monitoring & alerting: Dynatrace, Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus.
- Scripting: Bash, Shell.
- Programming/Technology stack knowledge: Java Spring Boot, NodeJS, SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Version control: Git, GitHub, GitLab.
- Agile methodology and cross‑functional teamwork.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Cloud certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, Azure Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.
- DevOps certifications: AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or similar.
- Security/Compliance certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
- Must possess or be eligible for SC (Security Clearance).
