Job Description
**Job Title:** Coordinator, Security Operations **Role Summary:** Coordinate and manage airport security programs, oversee technical security system implementation and maintenance, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, support audits and investigations, and provide technical training to stakeholders. **Expectations:** - Administer and enhance security technology and critical assets. - Deliver technical support and training in security systems. - Ensure regulatory compliance and audit readiness. - Handle security investigations and response to irregular operations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, implement, and maintain security systems (CEM, Genetec, CCTV) and related infrastructure. - Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and recommend improvements. - Provide technical training to internal staff and external partners. - Review and update policies, procedures, and processes to meet regulatory and industry best practices. - Manage security programs and build relationships with airport departments, carriers, ground handlers, government agencies, and tenants. - Support Transport Canada and airport authority audits. - Conduct or assist in security investigations. - Respond to irregular or emergency situations. - Deliver progress reports and support project delivery for internal and external initiatives. **Required Skills:** - Five years recent aviation/security experience or equivalent. - Technical knowledge of aviation regulations, airport infrastructure, public safety, aviation security, and physical security. - Mandatory experience with security system technical support. - Project management: program development, implementation, and auditing. - Strong computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Windows, security software). - Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication; conflict resolution, diplomacy, and client relationship building. - Analytical, problem‑solving, organizational, and time‑management abilities. - Discretion in handling sensitive information. - French language skills are an asset (not required). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of training and experience. - Relevant certifications in aviation security or technical systems (preferred).
