**Job Title:** Cloud Systems Engineer
**Role Summary:** Lead design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions for a global enterprise, primarily on Microsoft Azure with secondary exposure to Google GCP. Drive automation, monitoring, cost management, and security across cloud environments while supporting legacy on‑premise infrastructure and contributing to cyber‑security initiatives.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver end‑to‑end cloud architecture and operational excellence.
- Maintain high availability and performance of existing on‑premise and cloud services.
- Demonstrate continuous improvement in cost, security, and automation.
- Provide technical leadership in regional and international projects.
- Communicate effectively in English (written and spoken).
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, manage, and optimize Azure-based IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS architectures.
- Automate deployment pipelines using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, GitHub Actions, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Monitor cloud performance with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights; report incidents and metrics.
- Implement cost‑management practices via Azure Cost Management.
- Ensure cloud security through Azure AD, RBAC, encryption, and compliance frameworks.
- Maintain and evolve on‑premise application servers, storage, and backup solutions.
- Participate in SI modernization projects and support cyber‑security of infrastructure.
- Lead technical mentorship and project oversight (1–2 international trips per year).
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years in an Azure Cloud Engineer role; experience with GCP is a plus.
- Proficiency in Azure networking, databases, and storage services.
- Strong automation skills: Azure DevOps, PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
- Knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and best practices (RBAC, encryption).
- Excellent communication, teamwork, problem‑solving, and analytical skills.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ‑104, AZ‑303, AZ‑304) strongly preferred.
- Proven fluency in English (oral and written).
