Job Description
**Job Title:** Pre‑Sales Solutions Engineer (SaaS) **Role Summary:** Serve as the primary technical and consultative contact for inbound SaaS leads, translating prospect business needs into tailored product demonstrations and solution designs, and ensuring seamless hand‑off to implementation for successful customer onboarding. **Expectations:** - Qualify and engage inbound prospects with a consultative approach. - Deliver customized demos that articulate business value. - Capture and document detailed requirements and high‑level SOWs. - Collaborate closely with sales, product, and implementation teams. - Support technical integration discussions and API validation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage inbound leads; conduct discovery calls to gather business workflows and pain points. - Produce and present tailored product demos and value propositions. - Facilitate discovery workshops; create visual workflow diagrams (e.g., Lucidchart). - Draft high‑level Statements of Work outlining modules, configurations, and customizations. - Coordinate hand‑off with implementation specialists and attend project kickoff meetings. - Explain SaaS architecture to technical and non‑technical audiences. - Assist customer technical teams on ERP/accounting integrations; test APIs using Postman (REST/SOAP), interpret OAuth and API key flows. **Required Skills:** - ≥5 years in pre‑sales engineering, business analysis, or SaaS solution consulting. - Strong business process mapping and workflow documentation. - Proficiency with Postman and REST/SOAP API testing. - Ability to translate technical concepts into business‑friendly language. - Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills. - Organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple leads simultaneously. - Problem‑solving mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., SaaS, cloud, API, or solution architecture) are a plus.
