Job Specifications

We are seeking a highly driven Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer who will act as the first technical and consultative touchpoint for new leads for our SaaS software FieldEquip (fieldequip.com). The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding prospect business requirements, conducting product demonstrations, supporting discovery activities, and collaborating directly with both the sales and implementation teams to ensure smooth onboarding and customer success. We work with multiple industries including and not limited to Oil Field Services, Industrial Services, Commercial Services & many others.  

Key Responsibilities 

1. Lead Qualification & Requirements Gathering 

- Manage and process inbound leads received from the website and email channels. 

- Reach out to prospects to understand business needs, use cases, industry context, and operational workflows. 

- Conduct consultative discussions to identify challenges and map them to product capabilities. 

- Capture detailed requirements and maintain accurate documentation. 

2. Product Demonstrations & Pre-Sales Consulting 

- Deliver engaging, tailored product demonstrations highlighting relevant features and value propositions. 

- Clearly articulate how the platform solves customer-specific problems. 

- Provide consultative guidance based on best practices and real-world workflows. 

3. Discovery Workshops & Solution Design 

- Facilitate discovery sessions to understand processes, functional requirements, and customer outcomes. 

- Convert complex processes into visual workflows using Lucidchart or similar tools. 

- Prepare high-level Statements of Work (SOWs) defining modules, configurations, and customizations. 

4. Collaboration with Implementation Teams 

- Work closely with implementation specialists to ensure smooth handoff from pre-sales to delivery. 

- Participate in project kickoff meetings to clarify business needs and solution design. 

5. Technical Communication & Integration Support 

- Explain SaaS product architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

- Work with customer technical teams for integrations with ERP, accounting, or third-party systems. 

- Use Postman to test REST/SOAP APIs, validate endpoints, and interpret responses. 

- Understand OAuth, API keys, and authentication flows. 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

- 5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales Engineering, Business Analysis, or SaaS roles. 

- Strong understanding of business workflows and process mapping. 

- Experience preparing SOWs and requirement documents. 

- Experience using Postman and working with REST/SOAP APIs. 

- Ability to translate technical concepts into a business-friendly language. 

Preferred Qualifications 

- Experience with ERP or accounting integrations. 

- SaaS implementation or configuration experience. 

- Familiarity with cloud platforms or software architecture. 

Soft Skills 

- Strong problem-solving mindset. 

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 

- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple leads.
