Job Description

**Job Title:** Head of Supply Chain (Contract) **Role Summary:** Interim leader responsible for the end‑to‑end supply chain of a global B2B manufacturer on a 3‑6 month contract. Oversees planning, purchasing, logistics, and customer service functions, ensures ERP/MRP accuracy, controls costs, and strengthens operations to support rapid business growth. **Expectations:** - Provide strategic direction and measurable performance improvements across all supply‑chain functions. - Maintain accurate demand‑forecasting, inventory, and cash‑flow optimisation. - Lead global supplier negotiations and risk‑mitigation strategies. - Manage departmental budget and deliver clear analytics to senior leadership. - Apply Lean/Six Sigma methods to automate processes and eliminate inefficiencies. - Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and on‑time delivery standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and mentor planning, purchasing, logistics, and customer‑service teams; set targets and monitor results. - Oversee forecasting through delivery, guaranteeing ERP/MRP data integrity and optimal stock levels. - Negotiate with suppliers worldwide, secure backup sources, and drive cost‑saving initiatives in purchasing and freight. - Supervise warehousing and shipping operations to achieve on‑time performance and regulatory compliance. - Collaborate with Sales and Finance to align supply capacity with demand. - Implement Lean improvements and automation to streamline manual workflows. - Report performance metrics and budget status to the executive team. **Required Skills:** - Proven leadership of multi‑functional supply‑chain teams (10+ years, manufacturing). - Advanced proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP). - Data‑driven risk management and analytical reporting. - Strong supplier negotiation and contract management abilities. - Budget ownership and financial performance tracking. - Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous‑improvement methodologies. - Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent senior‑level experience). - Preferred: CIPS certification, MBA, Lean/Six Sigma certification. - Demonstrated senior‑level experience in manufacturing supply chain leadership.
