Job Description

Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Role Summary: Hands‑on senior engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable, data‑driven backend systems. Works within an agile scrum team to deliver high‑quality, production‑ready code that supports complex analytics workflows for national‑security stakeholders. Expectations: - Deliver clean, well‑tested, maintainable code on schedule. - Operate independently in a fast‑paced environment while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams. - Uphold high standards for performance, reliability, and security. - Identify and drive continuous improvement and technical innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable backend services using Java/Spring Boot. - Write production‑grade code with comprehensive unit/integration tests. - Optimize system performance, reliability, and data accuracy. - Participate in full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance. - Collaborate with product, data, QA, and DB engineering teams in an agile scrum setting. - Contribute to platform feature development and architecture evolution. - Maintain and improve SQL queries and database schemas in PostgreSQL. Required Skills: - 6+ years professional software engineering experience. - Strong backend development with Java and Spring Boot (or equivalent frameworks). - Advanced SQL proficiency; hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL. - Proficient in Linux development environments. - Experience building systems for data‑driven analytics. - Ability to work autonomously and in a collaborative scrum team. - Familiarity with Git version control. - U.S. citizenship (required for security clearance eligibility). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. - Ability to obtain (or active) U.S. security clearance (if required).
