Marketing & Events Coordinator
**Role Summary**
A hands‑on, high‑energy position integrating community engagement, in‑store activation, and brand storytelling. The coordinator serves as the primary ambassador across events, demos, and social media, driving Nova brand presence in markets, festivals, and grocery stores.
**Expectations**
- Operate field and online activities‑balancing scheduling, logistics, and content.
- Act as the main on‑site brand representative, ensuring consistent brand experience.
- Coordinate with sales, creatives, and partners to maximize retail and event impact.
- Track basic metrics (event ROI, demo conversion, social engagement).
- Adapt to evening and weekend work as required.
**Key Responsibilities**
*Events & Community Activation*
- Identify, pitch, book, and manage events (farmers’ markets, food festivals, pop‑ups).
- Oversee all logistics: permits, setup, staffing, teardown.
- Serve as on‑site ambassador, engaging attendees and collecting field insights.
*Retail Demos & In‑Store Marketing*
- Plan, schedule, and execute in‑store demos across independent and regional retailers.
- Coordinate demo stations, sample preparation, and shopper engagement.
- Ensure brand standards (signage, freezer placement, POS materials) are met.
- Collect feedback, photos, and insights for internal reporting.
*Social Media & Content*
- Manage primary social channel (Instagram), producing event‑based content.
- Capture short‑form video, photos, and stories from the field.
- Maintain brand voice: friendly, inclusive, slightly cheeky.
- Moderate community engagement (DMs, comments, reposts).
*Trade & Brand Marketing Support*
- Assist with trade marketing materials (sell sheets, POS ideas, sampler programs).
- Support brand partnerships and local collaborations.
- Maintain event/calendar launch schedule and promote activations.
- Track performance metrics and provide basic analysis.
**Required Skills**
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; customer‑focused.
- Excellent organization and proactive project management.
- Ability to multitask across events, demos, and content creation.
- Experience in field marketing, brand activation, or event coordination.
- Proficiency in Instagram content creation and basic design tools (e.g., Canva).
- Comfortable traveling in the GTA and working evenings/weekends.
- Knowledge of independent grocery retail operations is advantageous.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- 1–3 years experience in brand marketing, events, or social media within CPG / food & beverage (highly preferred).
- Prior demo, ambassador, or field marketing experience is a major plus.
- Food‑safe certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
