Job Description
**Job Title:** Customer Solutions Engineer **Role Summary:** Technical bridge between Business Development, clients, developers, and internal engineering teams. Translate customer requirements into commercially viable, technically robust managed connectivity solutions (Wi‑Fi, LAN, WAN, fibre) from site survey through high‑level design and handover to delivery teams. **Expectations:** - Hybrid work arrangement, based in Europe (travel to UK and occasional international sites). - Deliver accurate cost estimates and solution scopes. - Communicate technical proposals to both technical and non‑technical audiences. - Ensure compliance with internal policies, information security, and health & safety standards. **Key Responsibilities:** - Partner with Business Development to convert client needs into scalable technical solutions. - Lead technical engagement with clients and developers; conduct site and Wi‑Fi surveys. - Design high‑level LAN, Wi‑Fi, WAN, and fibre architectures for multi‑tenant/residential environments. - Produce cost estimates, scope documentation, and structured handover packages for provisioning/delivery teams. - Support implementation phases as needed and maintain strong cross‑functional stakeholder relationships. **Required Skills:** - Strong background in managed connectivity, ISP, telecom, or enterprise networking. - Proven experience designing LAN & Wi‑Fi solutions for multi‑tenant or residential settings. - Technical expertise in: • Layer‑2 Ethernet switching • 802.11 Wi‑Fi technologies • VLAN, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP • Fibre optics (single‑mode & multi‑mode) and PON (GPON/XGS‑PON) - Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly to varied audiences. - Commercial acumen for costed solution development. - Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Aruba Certified Mobility Professional) are a plus but not mandatory.
