Job Description
**Job Title:** IT Support and Network Technician (Help Desk) **Role Summary:** Provide on‑site and remote technical support for clients, administer and maintain network infrastructure, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and ensure optimal performance of IT systems while delivering professional customer service. **Expectations:** - Deliver timely, accurate support to end‑users in person and remotely. - Maintain network security and reliability. - Communicate clearly with clients to diagnose and resolve issues. - Work independently with minimal supervision; adhere to service level agreements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network problems. - Configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and Wi‑Fi systems. - Perform system administration tasks: OS updates, patch management, user account provisioning. - Conduct remote assistance using ticketing tools and remote desktop software. - Document incidents, solutions, and network changes in the help‑desk system. - Assist with basic cybersecurity measures and data recovery tasks as needed. - Provide client training and guidance on best practices for IT use. **Required Skills:** - Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. - Proficiency in network administration (LAN/WAN, VLAN, VPN). - Experience with Windows and macOS operating systems. - Familiarity with common IT service management tools and remote support platforms. - Excellent verbal and written communication; customer‑focused attitude. - Ability to work autonomously in hybrid (on‑site/remote) environments. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant certifications preferred: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, or comparable credentials. - Additional certifications in cybersecurity or data recovery are a plus.
