Job Description: Job title: Assistant Management Accountant / Junior Finance Analyst Role Summary Provide high‑quality management accounting and decision‑support services to a portfolio of clients across diverse sectors. Act as a trusted financial advisor, collaborating with CFOs, business partners, and client leadership to deliver actionable insights, improve finance processes, and support strategic initiatives such as ERP implementations, M&A, and fundraising. Expectations - Execute monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and cash‑flow reporting for multiple clients. - Manage AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, and process improvement projects. - Conduct decision‑support analyses and present findings to C‑suite and founders. - Mentor junior staff and maintain high standards in a fully remote, client‑centric environment. - Work independently on several engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Key Responsibilities - Prepare monthly management accounts from source data and financial reports. - Support clients with AP/AR, budgeting, forecasting, and cash‑flow management. - Deliver decision‑support analysis and translate data into actionable insights. - Professionalise finance processes and implement best‑practice reporting frameworks. - Contribute to ERP implementation and automation of management information. - Assist in due diligence, M&A, and fundraising financial analyses. - Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor. - Identify opportunities to add value and improve client finance functions. - Mentor and develop junior team members. Required Skills - Minimum 3 years experience in management accounting or analytical finance. - Part‑qualified or fully qualified accountant (AAT, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). - Proficiency in UK GAAP and experience applying it in practice. - Advanced Excel, strong financial modelling, and analytical skills. - Experience with cloud‑based accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage). - Knowledge of AI/ML applications in finance. - Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills. - Ability to manage multiple client engagements and work autonomously in a remote setting. - Self‑motivated, proactive, and disciplined. Required Education & Certifications - AAT, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (or equivalent practical experience).
