Job Description
Job Title: Principal Consultant – Salesforce Engineer Role Summary: Lead technical architect and developer for Salesforce implementations, managing design, configuration, integration, and post‑go‑live maintenance. Serve as primary liaison between client stakeholders and external implementation partners, ensuring scalable, secure, and compliant solutions. Expectations: Deliver end‑to‑end Salesforce solutions that meet business strategy, maintain best‑practice standards, and facilitate user adoption. Provide expert guidance, mentorship, and training to stakeholders. Own the platform post‑implementation, overseeing enhancements, release management, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities - Act as technical lead and primary liaison for client and vendor teams. - Review and validate solution designs, data models, and custom code for maintainability and best practices. - Facilitate requirements workshops, design sessions, sprint reviews, and UAT. - Align architectural decisions with business strategy, security, and compliance. - Identify risks, propose mitigation, and escalation as needed. - Own post‑implementation configuration, customization, and development (Apex, LWC, flows, integrations). - Evaluate change requests, manage enhancements, and oversee release processes. - Conduct platform health checks, performance tuning, and security/user access management. - Train users, support adoption, and serve as Salesforce subject matter expert. - Mentor product owners, analysts, and technical team members. Required Skills - Hands‑on Salesforce development (Apex, triggers, test classes). - Proficient in Lightning Web Components (LWC) and/or Aura. - Expertise in Salesforce flows and process automation. - Data modeling, security, and sharing rule implementation. - REST/SOAP API integrations and/or middleware experience (e.g., MuleSoft, Boomi). - Understanding of SDLC and Agile delivery frameworks. - Strong communication, strategic thinking, and influence skills. - Ability to lead technical discussions and drive design decisions. - Self‑starter capable of independent and collaborative work. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related field, or equivalent experience. - Minimum 8 years of relevant experience. - Salesforce Platform Developer II certification (preferred). - Salesforce Administrator or Business Analyst certification (preferred).
