Job Description
**Job Title** Junior IT Administrator **Role Summary** Support and administer the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable performance of hardware, software, and network systems across all departments. Provide hands‑on user support and system administration, maintaining Microsoft 365 and local servers, monitoring performance, and implementing basic cybersecurity measures. **Expectations** - Manage and troubleshoot Windows Server and desktop environments. - Oversee Microsoft 365 administration (user accounts, permissions, security). - Monitor system and network performance continuously. - Execute backups, disaster‑recovery support, and vendor coordination. **Key Responsibilities** - Administer and maintain workstations, servers, and network equipment. - Configure and manage Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365). - Monitor and optimize system and network performance. - Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software assets. - Perform system backups and support disaster‐recovery processes. - Support retail POS and operational systems. - Implement and maintain basic cybersecurity practices (updates, antivirus, access controls). - Maintain IT documentation and asset inventory. - Coordinate with third‑party IT vendors and service providers. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in Windows Server, desktop environments, and LAN/WAN networking. - Microsoft 365 administration experience. - Knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles. - Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. - 2–4 years of experience in IT support or system administration. - IT certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft, etc.) are a plus.
