Job Title: Sales Account Executive
Role Summary:
Lead and expand business development efforts for digital commerce services, driving acquisition and retention of Shopify and broader ecommerce clients. Operate as a strategic consultant, guiding prospects through pre‑sales consulting to integrated solution delivery, while building high‑performance sales teams and aligning activities with organizational goals.
Expectations:
- Deliver measurable growth in revenue and client portfolio, consistently meeting or exceeding quarterly targets.
- Maintain a robust pipeline, accurate forecasting, and timely reporting for senior leadership.
- Represent the company at industry events, cultivating strategic partnerships within the Shopify ecosystem.
- Mentor, coach, and scale the sales organization, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and data‑driven decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design and implement sales strategies to acquire new commerce brands seeking digital marketing and Shopify development.
2. Identify and secure mid‑to‑enterprise deals, leveraging deep knowledge of Shopify, digital marketing, and commerce growth tactics.
3. Partner with Head of Sales to align tactical plans with company objectives, ensuring cohesive cross‑functional execution.
4. Build and nurture relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders, positioning the firm as a trusted strategic advisor.
5. Manage end‑to‑end pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting, reporting, and revenue pipeline health.
6. Collaborate with marketing, account management, product, and delivery teams to enhance customer acquisition, activation, and retention.
7. Champion CRM adoption (HubSpot preferred), sales automation, and analytical tools to drive efficiency and data‑based insights.
8. Attend and represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking functions (minimum 30% event participation).
9. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to refine selling propositions and tactics.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years in digital marketing, commerce, or SaaS, with ≥3 years of leadership experience.
- Proven track record of closing mid‑to‑enterprise deals in the commerce sector.
- Strong transactional and consultative sales capability; excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Deep understanding of Shopify platform, digital marketing strategies, and ecommerce growth mechanics.
- Data‑driven mindset; proven ability to hit revenue targets and forecast accurately.
- Experience managing and scaling high‑performance sales teams.
- Proficiency with CRM (HubSpot preferred) and sales automation tools.
- Self‑starter, entrepreneurial, thrives in fast‑paced, lean environments.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- Relevant commerce or SaaS sales certifications (e.g., HubSpot Inbound, Salesforce Sales Cloud) are preferred.
