Job Description
**Job Title:** Infrastructure Engineer – Microsoft **Role Summary:** Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft‑based infrastructure for a portfolio of MSP customers. Collaborate with internal software teams to shape automation and platform tooling, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable environments that support modern workforces. **Expectations:** - Minimum 4 years in infrastructure, systems, or cloud engineering within a B2B/​MSP context. - Proven hands‑on Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 expertise. - Strong scripting (PowerShell), troubleshooting, and multi‑environment management. - Security‑first mindset with awareness of MSP cyber‑security best practices. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Architect and implement Azure IaaS/PaaS solutions, including networking, storage, and identity services. 2. Administer Microsoft 365 tenants (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune) and enforce security policies. 3. Maintain Active Directory and Azure AD/Entra ID environments, hybrid identity, and conditional access. 4. Deploy and manage endpoint security and compliance via Intune or MECM/SCCM. 5. Monitor, troubleshoot, and proactively resolve infrastructure issues. 6. Lead patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management for servers and clients. 7. Support backup and disaster‑recovery (Veeam, Azure Site Recovery) to meet RTO/RPO targets. 8. Collaborate with Service Desk and Customer Success for seamless service delivery. 9. Provide technical input during customer QBRs, roadmap planning, and improvement reviews. 10. Contribute to automation and platform tooling design with the internal software team. 11. Document environments, configurations, and change records accurately. 12. Participate in on‑call rotation for business‑critical systems outside core hours. **Required Skills:** - Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, cost management) - Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune) - Active Directory, Azure AD/Entra ID, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP - Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration - PowerShell scripting & automation - Endpoint management (Intune, MECM/SCCM) - Backup/DR solutions (Veeam, Azure Site Recovery) - Cyber‑security best practices in an MSP environment - Troubleshooting and multi‑tenant management - Communication and documentation **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Microsoft certifications (AZ‑104, MS‑102, AZ‑305) are desirable but not mandatory.
