Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Development Manager **Role Summary:** Generate qualified business opportunities for a technology services provider by building relationships with business leaders and community partners in a regional market. Do not close deals; instead, create a robust pipeline, schedule discovery meetings for senior leadership, and provide market intelligence. Operate autonomously with accountability to pipeline health and partnership development. **Expectations:** - Maintain an active, accurate pipeline in HubSpot. - Book and prepare qualified discovery meetings for senior leadership. - Represent organization’s brand and values in all external interactions. - Provide regular feedback on market trends, competition, and partnership potential. - Measure performance by pipeline value, meeting volume, outreach activity, and partnership growth. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and nurture relationships with business owners, executives, and community leaders. - Secure qualified opportunities through targeted outreach (calls, LinkedIn, events). - Attend industry events, chambers, and networking functions to broaden market presence. - Identify and partner with complementary service providers (accounting, consulting, tech vendors). - Record all activity, status, and prospects in HubSpot. - Coordinate with the President to align strategy and review progress. **Required Skills:** - Strong networking and relationship‑building abilities. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Discipline in managing and following up on a pipeline. - Proficiency with CRM tools, preferably HubSpot. - Understanding of technology or professional services is advantageous but not mandatory. - Ability to work independently and manage own territory. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field **or** equivalent professional experience in business development, relationship management, or sales.
