Business Development Manager

Reis Informatica is looking for a Business Development Manager who knows how to open doors, build relationships, and create meaningful business opportunities.

This is not a traditional sales role. You will not be responsible for closing deals. Your focus is on creating opportunities and filling the pipeline through networking, outreach, and building trust in the South Western Ontario business community.

You will represent Reis Informatica in the market, develop relationships with business leaders, and bring qualified opportunities to the table.

This role reports directly to the President and offers a high degree of independence. You will have the autonomy to build relationships in a way that works for you while being supported by a strong team and proven services.

What a Typical Day Might Look Like

Your days will be varied and relationship-focused.

You might start the morning by reviewing your pipeline and planning outreach in HubSpot.

Later, you could meet a business owner for coffee, attend a Chamber of Commerce event, or join a local industry networking lunch.

In the afternoon, you may make targeted outreach calls or LinkedIn connections to introduce Reis Informatica to new prospects.

Some days you may attend industry events, golf tournaments, or community gatherings where you represent the company and build relationships with potential clients and partners.

You will regularly meet with the President to review opportunities, discuss strategy, and refine your market approach.

Your goal each day is simple: build relationships and create opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with business leaders in the Calgary market
Generate qualified opportunities through networking, outreach, and community involvement
Attend industry events, business associations, and networking functions
Identify organizations that could benefit from Reis Informatica’s services
Book discovery meetings between prospects and the President
Maintain accurate pipeline and activity tracking in HubSpot
Build partnerships with complementary organizations such as accounting firms, consultants, and technology vendors
Represent the company professionally in the local business community
Provide market feedback to leadership regarding trends, competition, and opportunities

Accountability

You are accountable for building and maintaining a healthy pipeline of opportunities for the Calgary market.

You are responsible for identifying, engaging, and nurturing prospects until they are ready to meet with leadership.

You are expected to represent the company’s brand, reputation, and culture in every interaction.

Success in this role will be measured through:

Qualified meetings booked with decision makers

Pipeline value created

New strategic relationships and partnerships

Activity levels in networking and outreach

Growth of Reis Informatica’s presence in the SWO business community

Quality and fit of opportunities introduced to the leadership team

Experience That Helps

Experience in business development, relationship management, or sales

Strong networking skills and a comfort level attending business events

Experience building relationships with business owners or executives

Background in IT services, technology, or professional services is helpful but not required

Experience using CRM tools such as HubSpot is an asset
