Job Description: Job title: Lead Java Backend Developer Role Summary: Senior leader with 13+ years driving the design, development, and delivery of scalable, microservices‑based Java backends. Expert in Spring Boot, Kafka, and distributed systems, responsible for technical architecture, performance optimization, and team mentorship. Expactations: Deliver robust, high‑throughput services; guide architectural decisions; ensure code quality through reviews; enforce CI/CD best practices; mentor junior staff; collaborate cross‑functionally; meet project timelines and stakeholder requirements. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement scalable backend services in Java/Spring Boot. - Architect microservices and event‑driven pipelines, leveraging Apache Kafka. - Build and tune Kafka producers, consumers, streams for real‑time data. - Lead technical design discussions and provide architecture guidance. - Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. - Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and frontend teams for end‑to‑end delivery. - Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines; uphold best development practices. - Gather technical requirements and translate into functional specifications. Required Skills: - 13+ years of Java backend development experience. - Proficiency with Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud. - 5+ years hands‑on with Apache Kafka (Streams, Producers, Consumers). - Deep understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. - Experience with SQL (Oracle, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB). - Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). - CI/CD tooling: Jenkins, Git, Maven, Gradle. - Strong grasp of distributed systems, event‑driven architecture, and performance tuning. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
