Job Title: Chief Business Officer (Pharmaceuticals) Role Summary: Senior executive overseeing corporate growth, including asset acquisition, licensing, M&A, strategic partnerships, and capital strategy. Works closely with the CEO, CFO, and commercial leaders to align business development with product portfolio and investor relations. Expectations: - Lead the design and execution of corporate development strategy. - Secure and structure high-value partnerships and transactions. - Drive capital raising initiatives (PIPEs, crossover rounds, strategic investments). - Maintain robust relationships with investors and strategic partners. - Ensure alignment between growth initiatives and product pipeline management. Key Responsibilities: - Identify and evaluate acquisition and licensing opportunities. - Negotiate and close M&A transactions and strategic deals. - Develop and implement partnership frameworks with pharma, biotech, and other life‑science firms. - Engage venture and institutional investors to secure funding and strategic support. - Collaborate with CEO, CFO, and Chief Commercial Officer on portfolio alignment and financial planning. - Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy. Required Skills: - 10+ years in biotech/pharma corporate development, business development, or healthcare investment banking. - Proven track record of executing licensing, M&A, and strategic partnership deals. - Strong analytical skills in evaluating drug assets and product portfolios. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management. - Strategic thinker with a results‑oriented approach. - Knowledge of cardiovascular, renal, or metabolic disease therapeutics (plus). Required Education & Certifications: - Advanced degree (Ph.D., M.D., MBA, or equivalent) preferred. - Relevant certifications in finance, M&A, or life‑science industry (e.g., CFA, CPA) are advantageous.
