Company Description

Sarfez Pharmaceuticals Inc. is a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company specializing in cardiorenal therapies. We develop innovative treatments for conditions that are challenging to manage in patients with multiple comorbidities. For example, hypertension can be difficult to control in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and heart failure (HF), despite the availability of several drug classes.

In addition to innovative therapies, the company has built an AI-driven commercialization platform and is ready to leverage it for growth through asset acquisitions, strategic partnerships, and capital strategy.

Role Description

We are seeking an experienced Chief Business Officer (CBO) to lead our corporate growth strategy. The CBO will work closely with the CEO and executive team to expand the company’s product portfolio, drive strategic transactions, and engage with the investor community.

Key responsibilities

Lead corporate development initiatives, including asset acquisitions, licensing deals, and M&A opportunities
Structure and negotiate strategic partnerships and collaborations
Build relationships with pharmaceutical companies, biotech firms, and other strategic partners
Engage with venture investors, institutional investors, and other capital sources
Support financing strategies including PIPEs, crossover rounds, and strategic investments
Collaborate closely with the CEO, CFO, and Chief Commercial Officer to align strategic growth with product portfolio management

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in biotech/pharmaceutical corporate development, business development, or healthcare investment banking
Demonstrated track record of executing licensing transactions, M&A deals, or strategic partnerships in life sciences
Experience evaluating drug assets and product portfolios
Background in cardiovascular, renal, or metabolic diseases is a plus
Advanced degree preferred (PhD, MD, MBA, or equivalent)
