Job title: Subsea Technical Manager – Paris
Role Summary: Provides full technical ownership of a major subsea equipment package for a large-scale LNG development, overseeing engineering through fabrication, testing, handover, and project support, while coordinating with international fabrication sites and adjacent project teams.
Expactations: Demonstrable leadership in subsea project execution, responsibility for complex technical interfaces, and accountability for HSE, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage technical activities for Subsea Production Systems, umbilicals, distribution systems, valves, control systems, and onshore support modules.
- Review, challenge, and formally accept contractor technical deliverables.
- Develop, maintain, and update project technical documentation, specifications, and notes.
- Manage engineering interfaces with installation, operations, onshore facilities, and other package teams.
- Validate mechanical completion, testing, qualification, and readiness for handover.
- Oversee preservation, storage, and maintenance of subsea assets.
- Identify, assess, and manage technical risks and change requests.
- Act as technical focal point during construction, installation, and commissioning.
- Coordinate with fabrication yards and inspection teams for compliant, timely delivery.
- Support offshore and onshore installation campaigns and HSE, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
- Deputise for the Subsea Package Manager as needed.
Required Skills
- Engineering leadership and technical coordination across multidisciplinary, multi-location teams.
- In-depth knowledge of subsea production systems, umbilicals, flowlines, and control systems.
- Proficient in international subsea codes, standards, and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and risk‑management capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with contractors and stakeholders.
Required Education & Certifications
- Degree‑qualified engineer or equivalent in relevant discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Marine, Chemical, or Process Engineering).
- Minimum 10 years of subsea project execution experience, including 5 years in a technical coordination/leadership role.
