Job Description
**Job title**: Workday Application Director **Role Summary**: Lead the strategy, governance, and continuous delivery of the Workday platform, ensuring high‑quality configurations, integrations, and user adoption across HR, Finance, and IT. Manage stakeholder priorities, drive technical excellence, and mentor a development team in a CI/CD environment. **Expactations**: - Deliver global Workday enhancements on schedule and within budget. - Maintain configuration best practices and governance compliance. - Communicate status, risks, and benefits clearly to senior stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities**: - Act as functional/technical liaison for HR, Finance, and IT, prioritizing competing demands. - Review current Workday configuration, create improvement plans, and enforce governance standards. - Lead end‑to‑end development of new modules, enhancements, and integrations (design, build, test, release). - Guide a CI/CD‑based development team to automate delivery pipelines. - Mentor junior/mid‑level developers, conduct code/configuration reviews, and uphold quality. - Manage a prioritized Workday roadmap, balancing support and innovation. - Ensure data governance, security, and regulatory compliance. - Drive post‑go‑live optimization, performance monitoring, and user adoption. - Maintain documentation, change management, and audit readiness. - Collaborate with IT and vendors for a robust, scalable architecture. - Stay current on Workday releases and industry trends, proposing innovations. **Required Skills**: - 8‑10 years of Workday implementation experience, 5+ as a developer/technologist. - Deep knowledge of Workday Studio, EIBs, Report Writer, BIRT, Calculated Fields, Web Services, and security configuration. - Proven release management, post‑go‑live stabilization, and roadmap delivery. - Experience with complex Workday integrations (e.g., payroll, benefits). - Leadership in project delivery and CI/CD practices. - Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills. - Understanding of Finance and HR processes, employee lifecycle. - Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements. - Experience with other enterprise cloud platforms (Salesforce, NetSuite, ServiceNow) is a plus. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - Workday certification(s) in Implementation, Integration, or Advanced Analytics. - Additional certifications in project management (PMP, Prince2) or cloud platforms favorable.
