Job Description

**Job Title:** Solutions Engineer – Storage **Role Summary:** Lead pre‑sales architecture for infrastructure modernisation and hybrid‑IT transformation projects. Partner with account teams to qualify requirements, design end‑to‑end data‑centre, cloud, and networking solutions, and deliver technical workshops and presentations. Mentor junior engineers and uphold solution governance and certification standards. **Expectations:** - Minimum 5 years in pre‑sales or solutions architecture focused on infrastructure or data‑centre transformation. - Proven ability to design and size hybrid‑IT solutions across multiple vendors. - Strong communication skills for both technical and business audiences. - Capability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as lead pre‑sales architect for infrastructure and hybrid‑IT projects. - Collaborate with account managers to capture customer requirements and develop robust technical proposals. - Design comprehensive infrastructure strategies covering data centre, cloud, and networking layers. - Conduct technical workshops, white‑board sessions, and solution presentations for customers and partners. - Ensure solution deliverables meet internal and customer governance standards. - Maintain and promote certification across partner technologies; contribute to internal training. - Mentor and support junior engineers to elevate overall technical capability. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in hybrid‑IT environments and vendor technologies (HPE, Dell, IBM, NetApp, VMware). - Proficiency with Windows Server, Hyper‑V, Azure Stack HCI, VMware vSphere/Cloud Foundation. - Experience with public clouds (Azure, AWS, GCP). - Linux administration, containerisation, and orchestration tools (e.g., Apstra). - Knowledge of data protection, disaster recovery, and IT service management practices. - Strong analytical, solution‑design, and presentation abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Relevant vendor certifications preferred: HPE ASE/Master ASE, Cisco, Aruba, Juniper networking certifications, VMware VCP/VCF, Microsoft Azure certifications, etc.
