Key Role Responsibilities
Act as a lead pre-sales architect for infrastructure modernisation and hybrid IT transformation projects.
Collaborate with account managers to qualify customer requirements and craft technically robust solutions.
Design end-to-end infrastructure strategies across data centre, cloud, and networking domains.
Engage with customers and partners in technical workshops, whiteboard sessions, and presentations.
Oversee solution governance, ensuring all deliverables meet customer and internal standards.
Maintain technical certification across partner technologies and contribute to internal education initiatives.
Support and mentor junior engineers, helping to elevate technical capability across the business.
Key Attributes Required
5+ years' experience in a pre-sales or solutions architecture role focused on infrastructure or data centre transformation.
Expertise in hybrid IT environments and technologies from vendors such as HPE, Dell, IBM, NetApp, and VMware.
Deep understanding of configuration tools, infrastructure sizing, and technical design principles.
Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
Hands-on experience in technologies such as:
Windows Server, Hyper-V, Azure Stack HCI
VMware vSphere/Cloud Foundation
Public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Linux, containerisation, orchestration tools (e.g., Apstra)
Familiarity with data protection, disaster recovery, and IT service management practices.
Demonstrable ability to lead technical initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and deliver under pressure.
Ideally certified in vendor technologies (e.g., HPE ASE/Master ASE, Networking certifications from Aruba, Juniper, Cisco).
