Job Description
Job Title: Regional Director Role Summary: Lead the South West region for a multi‑disciplinary M&E engineering firm, accountable for regional P&L, strategic direction, and commercial growth, while ensuring high safety standards, quality delivery, and client satisfaction. Expectations: • Deliver profitable regional performance and meet commercial targets. • Build and maintain long‑term client relationships across key sectors. • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. • Lead regional governance, talent development, and succession planning. Key Responsibilities: • Own regional P&L, performance metrics, and strategy execution. • Drive business development and client relationship management. • Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring engineering quality and commercial success. • Conduct gate reviews, performance oversight, and proactive problem solving on all projects. • Implement best‑practice delivery and ensure compliance with company processes and industry standards. • Represent the region in governance, growth, and strategic planning activities. • Mentor and develop regional talent, including succession planning. Required Skills: • Senior leadership experience in M&E, construction, or engineering. • Proven commercial acumen with a track record of profitable business performance. • Strong client‑facing skills and ability to build trusted, long‑term relationships. • Deep understanding of project delivery, engineering standards, and commercial management. • Inspirational leadership style that motivates high‑performing teams. • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into action. • Strong risk awareness and sound decision‑making capability. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (Master’s preferred). • Professional engineering registration or equivalent commercial certification (e.g., CEng, PE, MCILM).
