**Job Title**
Information Technology Support Engineer
**Role Summary**
Provide tier‑1 and tier‑2 technical assistance to end‑users via remote tools, phone, and on‑site visits. Support and troubleshoot Windows desktops, servers, and networking equipment while administering Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and related services. Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure and telecoms systems for a portfolio of clients.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality customer service and maintain strong client relationships.<br>- Keep up‑to‑date with Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune, Azure AD, and networking technologies.<br>- Work independently and as part of a small team, ensuring timely resolution of incidents.<br>- Travel to client sites regularly; a valid driving licence is mandatory.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Respond to helpdesk tickets for hardware, software, and network issues.
2. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve problems on Windows desktops and servers.
3. Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and general server administration.
4. Configure and maintain Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune, and Azure AD services.
5. Install, upgrade, and configure servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi‑Fi solutions.
6. Perform routine maintenance, asset inventory, and documentation.
7. Conduct client visits for on‑site support, equipment installation, and training.
**Required Skills**
- 1st/2nd line support experience in an MSP or managed services environment.
- Hands‑on installation and network build knowledge (LAN/WLAN, VLANs, routing, firewalls).
- Strong troubleshooting of Windows desktop and server environments.
- Proficiency with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and server administration.
- Experience administering Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune, and Azure AD (AAD).
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals: VLANs, routing, firewalls, Wi‑Fi.
- Excellent communication skills and customer‑service orientation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Minimum high‑school diploma or equivalent.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator (preferred).
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft 365 Certified Administrator (preferred).
- Valid UK driving licence, ability to travel to client sites.
