Job Description
**Job title** Senior Cloud Accountant **Role Summary** Lead and deliver high‑quality cloud accounting services, acting as both a technical expert and strategic partner to a small client portfolio. Drive user adoption of cloud accounting tools, provide training, and collaborate cross‑functionally within the firm to support broader service lines. Maintain exceptional customer service while meeting internal deadlines and quality standards. **Expectations** - Serve as a cloud accounting champion for assigned clients and internal teams. - Manage confidentiality and uphold professional integrity. - Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and client‑focused attitude. - Participate in continuous learning to stay current with cloud bookkeeping and accounting software. **Key Responsibilities** - Deliver day‑to‑day accounting functions: bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts. - Maintain a small portfolio of clients, acting as the primary point of contact. - Troubleshoot and resolve software queries for clients and colleagues. - Deliver software training, demos, and documentation to end users. - Review and approve junior staff work as required. - Contribute to ad‑hoc projects and initiatives as directed by management. - Collaborate with other service lines to integrate solutions and share best practices. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in cloud accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage). - Strong organisational and time‑management abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Detail‑oriented audit and quality‑control habits. - Ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders. - Self‑starter with a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - AAT qualification or equivalent practical experience in bookkeeping and management accounts. - Optional: degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. - Minimum of 5 GCSEs (Level 5 or above) including Maths and English.
