**Job title**
Intern – Leveraged & Acquisition Finance (LAF) / LBO & Corporate Financing (f/m/d)
**Role Summary**
Full‑time, 6‑month internship supporting the Leveraged & Acquisition Finance team in originating, structuring, and syndicating leveraged buyout (LBO) and corporate financing transactions for private equity funds and large corporates. Activities include proposal development, financial modelling, due‑diligence analysis, internal documentation, and client presentation preparation.
**Expectations**
- Acquire hands‑on experience in capital markets and loan underwriting.
- Develop proficiency in financial modelling, credit assessment, and pitch creation.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with syndication, rating, sector coverage, and risk teams.
- Demonstrate self‑stimulation, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare client proposals and pitch decks for LBO, corporate acquisition financing, and refinancing transactions.
- Perform opportunity analysis: market research, sector comparables, company profiling, and due‑diligence data collection.
- Build LBO and cash‑flow models, and construct rating‑model scenarios in Excel.
- Draft briefing memos and internal credit notes for transaction approval.
- Create presentations for rating agencies, lenders, and syndication marketing materials.
- Participate in client meetings and support client interaction as required.
- Coordinate with global team members in London, New York, Hong Kong, and other functional groups.
**Required Skills**
- Strong foundation in corporate finance, credit analysis, and financial modelling.
- Advanced Excel skills; competence in PowerPoint and Word.
- Bilingual: fluent French and English (written and spoken).
- Analytical thinking, meticulous attention to detail, and strong communication.
- Proactive, autonomous, and team‑orientated; able to manage multiple priorities.
- Prior exposure to investment banking, private debt, private equity, M&A, transaction services, or strategy consulting is advantageous.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Current study or recent graduation at bachelor (Bac+4) or master (Bac+5) level.
- Attended a business school, engineering school, IEP, or equivalent with a specialization in finance or economics.
- No mandatory certifications, but demonstration of financial modelling and credit analysis competency is required.
