About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and analytical Data Business Analyst to join HSBC. The work and output will directly enable and drive new data pipelines to create AI/ML powered insights and signals for the Markets & Securities business.This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and data-driven solutions. You will analyse complex datasets, identify trends, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to unlock revenue growth opportunities and remediate gaps related to model risk policy requirements on data documentation and quality control.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analysis: Collect, process, and analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
Business Requirements: Work with stakeholders to gather and document requirements, ensuring alignment with data solutions.
Reporting & Visualization: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI and QlikView.
Data Quality Assurance: Implement validation and cleansing processes to ensure data integrity.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with FO quants, IT, finance, and operations teams to support data-driven initiatives.
Process Improvement: Recommend data-driven solutions to enhance business performance.
Project Management: Manage data-related projects, ensuring timely delivery and governance compliance.

Qualifications & Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience: Prior experience in data analysis and business analysis.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, Excel, and BI tools (Power BI, QlikView).
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
Team Player: Collaborative mindset with ability to manage multiple priorities.
