Job Description
Job title: People Business Partner Role Summary: Partner with Divisional Directors, Regional Managers and operational leaders to deliver high‑performance people strategies across a large gym division. Focus on talent acquisition, workforce planning, engagement, retention, wellbeing and employee relations while maintaining commercial awareness and continuous improvement. Expectations: - Drive visible improvement in retention, engagement and workforce stability. - Act as a trusted, data‑driven advisor to operational leaders. - Deliver on people‑centric initiatives with measurable outcomes (e.g., 2% 12‑week retention lift, increased engagement survey participation). - Lead cross‑functional projects that align people strategy with business goals. Key Responsibilities: - Build and sustain relationships with Divisional Directors, Regional Managers and key stakeholders through regular field visits and data‑backed presentations. - Own talent pipeline: internal progression, succession planning, and “internal first” recruitment for new gym openings. - Manage division‑wide recruitment, ensuring fairness, consistency and alignment with the People Chessboard. - Analyse turnover, exit, and engagement data; design targeted retention interventions for high‑risk gyms. - Co‑develop and implement the Divisional Action Plan and Employee Voice Forum to translate survey insights into action. - Reduce employee relations risk through trend analysis, ER training, and proactive case management. - Deliver anti‑bullying & harassment training and core line‑manager programs in partnership with Learning. Required Skills: - Strong stakeholder‑management and influencing abilities across remote teams. - Experience in complex employee relations, with decisive, analytical decision‑making. - Talent acquisition and workforce planning expertise. - Excellent communication, presentation, and coaching skills. - Results‑focused, energetic, and accountable. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. - Professional HR qualification preferred (e.g., CIPD, SHRM‑CP/SHRM‑SP, HRCI).
