Head of Product
Job Description
**Job Title** Head of Product (Founder‑Level) **Role Summary** Lead product strategy and execution for an early‑stage AI SaaS company. Own end‑to‑end product lifecycle: discover problems, validate concepts, define success metrics, shape roadmap, and drive market adoption. Reports directly to founders, making high‑impact decisions with full accountability and equity‑based compensation. **Expectations** - Deliver a clear product vision that aligns with company goals and market opportunity. - Set and own measurable outcomes (e.g., adoption, engagement, revenue). - Build a lean, data‑driven product process focusing on discovery over execution. - Make rapid decisions with incomplete data and adjust strategies accordingly. - Own product ownership and leverage; no title‑only focus. - Demonstrate founder‑level ownership, adaptability, and long‑term upside mindset. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap. 2. Lead end‑to‑end product discovery: market research, user interviews, hypothesis testing. 3. Establish success metrics and validate them through experiments and data analysis. 4. Prioritize features, cut low‑impact ideas, and ensure alignment with business goals. 5. Coordinate cross‑functional teams (engineering, design, data science, marketing, sales) to deliver releases. 6. Drive product‑market fit through iterative release and learning cycles. 7. Build go‑to‑market plans, pricing models, and positioning for AI‑powered offerings. 8. Monitor competitive landscape and incorporate insights into strategy. 9. Shape internal processes for continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. 10. Represent product functions in C‑level strategy discussions and fundraising. **Required Skills** - 5+ years of product leadership in early‑stage or venture‑backed AI SaaS environments. - Proven record of building and scaling products from discovery to market. - Deep understanding of Emotion AI, Conversational AI, and LLM analytics (or strong ability to learn quickly). - Data‑driven mindset: habits of hypothesis testing, experimentation, and evidence‑based decisions. - Strong discovery and validation experience—ability to identify real problems, run experiments, and iterate. - Systemic thinking: designing incentives, considering second‑order effects, and scaling impact. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management at all levels. - Comfortable making calculated pivots and killing ideas that do not serve outcomes. - Founder's experience, or early‑stage operator background, is a strong plus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory). - Optional certifications in Product Management or Data Analytics may be considered.
